About Montana Men’s Lacrosse

The University of Montana Men's lacrosse team, affectionately known as Griz Lax, is a proud member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) competing in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League. The MCLA is a non-varsity college lacrosse organization with over 150 teams across 42 states and two countries.

Griz Lax benefits from a structure that provides a "virtual varsity" experience similar to NCAA regulations. The team follows eligibility rules, engages in national tournaments, has mandatory practices, and operates under a paid coaching staff, setting them apart from other campus organizations.

The University of Montana offers a diverse range of courses, degrees, minors, and majors to cater to various academic and professional interests. The campus, located in Missoula, Montana, spans across 56 acres at the base of Mount Sentinel and along the Clark Fork River. The university's main campus features more than 60 architecturally unique buildings, including the iconic Oval and a 25,200-seat football stadium.

Additionally, UM's South Campus, covering 180 acres, provides amenities such as student housing, a golf course, soccer fields, and an outdoor track facility. Missoula College has two locations, one near the main campus and another on the southwest side of Missoula.

The University of Montana's commitment to offering a world-class education in a diverse range of subjects contributes to creating an engaged and vibrant community in Missoula. The university attracts students from a global population and provides opportunities for academic growth, professional training, and postdoctoral study across various disciplines from the arts and sciences to trades and graduate programs.
