Fall Fundraising Campaign

The University of Montana men’s lacrosse team, affectionately known as Griz Lax, is beginning their 2016-2017 season.  This year looks to be one of the Griz’s strongest to date boasting a roster of 40+ committed student athletes.  Fall practice has already begun and the coaches have very high hopes for the season.  With an operation of this magnitude comes a high operating expense.  Every single player pays $2,500 in fees to help with the budget.  But that does not cover everything.  Travel is the team’s biggest expense and this year Griz Lax had to purchase its own bus.  This will save the team thousands of dollars in the coming season, however, it was a major upfront cost that makes the usual annual purchases such as helmets, gloves and other safety equipment difficult to afford.

Each player has been tasked with trying to raise $1,000 to help make this season another success.  All donations made out to our 501(c)3 Montana Grizzly Lacrosse are tax deductible.  All donations over $100 will receive a Griz Lacrosse t-shirt, over $250 will receive a sweatshirt and $500 and greater will receive a Griz Lax team jacket.

Your donation will go directly to helping this year’s team acquire the proper protective equipment, travel safely to and from games, provide scholarships for players that cannot afford the $2500 in team dues and help Griz Lax train for a run at the 2017 MCLA National Tournament.
