Posted on Wednesday 23 December 2009

The University of Montana Mens Lacrosse program has finalized its schedule for the 2010 MCLA spring season and is gearing up for its first season under new head coach Tucker Sargent.
The Grizzlies kick off the 2010 season with a trip to Oregon to face conference opponents Oregon State University (Feb. 20) and The University of Oregon (Feb. 21). Montana’s game against the Beavers could have big playoff implications come the end of April.
The following Sunday, Feb. 28, The Griz travel to Spokane, Wash., to face off against the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in the first meeting of the two programs. UNLV finished third in the Southwest Lacrosse Conference’s Division 1 last season behind Arizona and SDSU.
In March, The Griz will travel to Utah to face RMLC opponents University of Utah (Mar. 12) and BYU (Mar. 13), rounding out their five-game road schedule.
On Saturday, Mar. 20, The Griz will play their first home game of the season, hosting Gonzaga in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The following weekend The University of Idaho Vandals will travel to Missoula to play the Griz (Mar. 27).
In April, The Griz will wrap up their regular season schedule with home games against conference opponents University of Washington (Apr. 10), Boise State University (Apr. 11) and Simon Fraser University (Apr. 16).
While it is a shorter schedule than the Griz have played in seasons past, games against national contenders Oregon, SFU and BYU and perennial Top 25 teams Utah and Washington will guarantee some fierce competition.
