MISSOULA, MONT. – The University of Montana Men’s Lacrosse club will end their 2009 regular season this weekend with a pair of home games against strong in-conference opponents including a Sunday do-or-die matchup against The University of Washington Huskies that could determine the Grizzlies’ post-season fate.

On Saturday, Montana will host Simon Fraser University at 1 p.m. in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The Clan are considered to be among the top teams in the nation vying for a national title and are currently ranked #2 in the most recent Prodigy/MCLA and MCLA the Lax Mag/Addidas Division 1 polls. Fast, physical and aggressive, The Clan will provide Montana with one of their most challenging games of the season. The game begins at 1 p.m. (MST).

On Sunday, The Griz will face off against The UW Huskies in a game that they must win to receive a bid to the following weekend’s PNCLL Final Four Tournament in Tacoma, WA. After dropping last year’s game against UW by a single goal, the Griz will be hungry for revenge, especially with such drastic post-season implications. Washington has had a breakout 2009 season turning heads nationally and making brief appearances in national Top 25 polls. Sunday’s game begins at Noon (MST).

Both games will be broadcast LIVE on GrizLax.com as will the following weekend’s Division-1 and Division-2 PNCLL tournaments.
