MISSOULA – The first day of the Griz Fall Shootout saw hard fought wins and losses across the board, setting the stage for an exciting second day of play en route to the tournament championship Sunday. Undefeated at Dornblazer Fields on the day were Calgary and Idaho, with the Vandals securing a first round bye in Sunday’s seeding by goal differential. The Griz went 1-2 on the day, beating Gonzaga before dropping close games against strong 406-Lax and Idaho squads. A Montana win against Gonzaga Sunday morning will give the squad another crack at the Vandals in the tournament semifinals.
