TACOMA, WASH. - GrizLax.com, in conjunction with the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League, is pleased to announce that it will host complete live video coverage of this weekend’s 2009 PNCLL Final Four in Tacoma, Wash. Both Division 1 and Division 2 semifinals and finals will be broadcast including live video, audio and interactive blog.
This year’s PNCLL tournament promises to again be one of thrilling match-ups featuring some of the highest-caliber lacrosse in the Pacific Northwest. Winners of the respective divisions will earn a spot at the 2009 MCLA National Championship Tournament, May 12-16 in Denver, Colo.
Held again at Curtis High School’s Stadium Field in Tacoma, this year’s tournament field will feature Simon Fraser University (ranked #2 nationally), The University of Oregon (ranked #17 nationally), The University of Washington and Oregon State University in Division 1; and Southern Oregon University (ranked #13 nationally) Western Oregon University (#14), Western Washington University and Whitman College for Division 2.
“This year’s PNCLL’s should be pretty exciting,” said GrizLax.com Founder Will Moss. “Simon Fraser is one of the best teams in the country; they’ve got their sights set on a national championship but they’ll have to first get past some really talented teams including Oregon, Washington and OSU. This year’s D2 tournament will also have some exciting match-ups with a couple of teams looking to keep WOU from heading back to nationals. I’m excited that, again, the PNCLL will be the only conference, nationally, to offer live whistle-to-whistle online video coverage of every post-season game. I think folks who tune in will be impressed by the level of play coming out of the northwest.”
This year’s Web casts will feature the audio commentary of PNCLL President Jason Stockton, Former Washington Assistant Coach Dan Wishengrad, University of Montana Head Coach Ryan Hanavan, GrizLax.com’s Moss, Willamette University Coach Will Patton and former Western Oregon player Josh Butterwege.
Coverage of the 2009 PNCLL Final Four begins Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. on GrizLax.com.
