Montana battled Western Washington University in a goal-for-goal 8-6 victory, Sunday, to clinch the Pacific Northwest Lacrosse League B-Division title for the third year in a row. Down 6-5 with barely five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Senior and 2nd Team All-Conference Midfielder Kevin Stout drove to the goal, tying the game. The Griz went man-down but kept the momentum rolling with a tie-breaking ripper by PNCLL-B Tournament MVP Jake Bagley, and a win-sealing goal by Midfielder Tucker Sargent. This win earns Montana the AQ berth to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) National Championship in Dallas, TX, May 15 - 19. More information will be coming soon.
