After a grueling three-game trip through Colorado and a weekend loss to Boise State University, The University of Montana men’s lacrosse team will use a nearly month-long break to prepare for an upcoming string of consequential home games.
The Grizzlies traveled to Colorado two weekends ago, where they faced three Top-25 opponents in as many days. Out-rostered by nearly 3-1, Montana dropped games against Colorado University on Friday and Colorado State on Sunday. On Saturday, however, Montana defeated Texas A&M University, a perennial national tournament team, 12-9 to escape the 25-plus hour road-trip unswept.
Last weekend, The Griz traveled to Boise, Idaho to face conference opponents the Boise State Broncos. After defeating the Broncos in their 2008 debut season in MCLA-1, Montana lost Saturday’s game by a heartbreaking one goal, 12-11.
The Griz now take a nearly 4-week break before returning to Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula to face regional rival Montana State University on Aprill 11.
The game will be video/audio/blogcast LIVE on GrizLax.com.
